Alan MacLeod
Board Treasurer
Alan MacLeod is Vice-President – Information Technology for Disney Consumer Products Global Licensing business. In this role, he is the senior IT executive supporting three global lines of business (Hardlines, Softlines and Toys), in addition to providing application development and support for the licensed streams of business of Disney Publishing Worldwide (DPW) and Buena Vista Games (BVG). Alan oversees the service delivery and demand management for all information technology in the four international regions ( Japan, Asia Pacific, EMEA, and Latin America), managing staff in ten locations around the world.
Alan joined The Walt Disney Company in 2000 as Director, Global Operations Analysis for Disney Consumer Products following a twelve-year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Canada and the United States, where he most recently was a senior member of the Information, Communications and Entertainment Industry Consulting Practice.
Alan has had extensive experience, with Disney and while with PwC in technology implementation and management, operational strategy and process design, financial management, organization design, and business architecture design, implementation and management. While with PwC he was also responsible for a substantial portion of overall recruiting, business development, and engagement management activities for the ICE Practice, and was a frequent speaker at various professional forums across North America and Europe.
Holding a long-standing passion for working to help children in need, Alan was a member of the board of UNICEF Ontario for several years, serving most recently as Vice-Chairman, Administration. Before relocating to the United States in 1995, he was also a volunteer fund raiser for the National Ballet of Canada. While living in San Francisco, Alan volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels and since moving to Los Angeles has been active as a mentor with the in-house program at A Place Called Home.
Alan graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours) from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 1988 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Canada in 1991. He received his Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston, Illinois in 2001.
