Crystal Cedillo
Program Coordinator
crystal@youthmentoring.org

Crystal joined YMC in 2008 through Public Allies, a leadership development program that prepares young leaders in the nonprofit sector. She is currently a Program Coodinator for YMC’s corporate-based programs, which include partnerships with HBO, Paramount, Shout Factory and Rhino Entertainment. She is in charge of making sure mentees show up to mentoring sessions, prepare for upcoming sessions, updated the YMC blog, as well coordinating the summer surfing program.

Crystal graduated from Whittier College in 2008 with a BA in Sociology and looks forward to go back to school. She helped develop an after school program at Santee High School, where she worked with seniors to fulfill their graduation requirements. This rewarding experience inspired her to continue working with youth, even when obstacles arise because of the limited resources in the community. Right now she is focused on helping mentees understand the college system and look for ways to pay for their education.

In her spare time, Crystal enjoys baking, getting lost (and finding her way around), reading, and traveling.
