Derrion Wyatt
Program Coordinator
derrion@youthmentoring.org

Derrion Wyatt became involved in a youth center located in South Central L.A. in 1997. She showed interest in becoming an employee at the age of 16 and was hired in March of 1999. Derrion took advantages of opportunities available to her and she became a mentee in the Warner Brothers Mentoring Program in 2002. Derrion immediately found passion for Mentoring and showed interest in becoming a mentor that same year.

Derrion had seen the importance of giving back to her community therefore, she supported mentoring. Derrion was eventually promoted to becoming the Mentoring / Volunteer Coordinator at the youth center. She never looked back or regretted that opportunity. In December of 2007, Derrion officially joined the YMC team. She is the Program Coordinator for corporate programs such as HBO, Warner Brothers, and Paramount. She is responsible for: recruiting, training, supporting, and transporting mentees, as well as supporting mentors.

During her free time she loves spending time with her mentee, bowling, going to the movies, and having a good laugh.

“I love working with youth and will continue to do this work for the rest of my life.”
