Heidi joined Youth Mentoring Connection in June of 2003. Having spent many years volunteering with numerous organizations, including Planned Parenthood and the YWCA Rape Crisis Center, she had always dreamed of working full-time for a non-profit agency. Sometimes answering an ad on Craig’s List can change your entire life.

Starting as Youth Mentoring Connection’s Administrative Assistant, she currently acts as Office Manager and Webmaster. Her office is the coolest in existence; complete with pink flamingos, Hello Kitty speakers, and a monkey rug. There’s a fine line between adorable and demented and Heidi likes to toe that line on a regular basis.

Heidi is a perpetual student, double majoring in Psychology and Women’s Studies but interested in everything from Astronomy and Mathematics to Philosophy and World Religion. This could be why she still doesn’t have a degree.

Her goals are to meet Bea Arthur, publish a book, visit Graceland, and save the world...not necessarily in that order.
