Sarah Schreiber
Program Coordinator
sarah@youthmentoring.org

Sarah Schreiber joined Youth Mentoring Connection as a temp in 2006... and, happily, never left. She is a Program Coordinator for YMC’s community-based programs with Adams Middle School. She manages daily program logistics alongside her team, and is responsible for recruiting and supporting the mentors who are there for our kids.

Sarah graduated from Oberlin College in 2005 with a B.A. in Comparative American Studies. Prior to joining YMC, she worked as a Program Assistant for Bike Out, doing outreach to LGBT youth and engaging them in physical health & wellness activities. She also completed a 10-month fellowship with Public Allies Los Angeles, a leadership development program for young people in nonprofits. In her spare time, Sarah is a volunteer facilitator for AWARE-LA, a group seeking to raise consciousness and create change through working with white people around issues of race and racism.

Sarah enjoys cooking (including cooking for the staff when it's her turn to bring lunch), shopping at the farmer's market, going to the library, and seeing her mentees grow into resilient young adults. She is grateful to work with such a loving, dedicated group of people, and for all the opportunities YMC has given her to grow.
