Overview: Youth being released from Juvenile Custody are given mentors and a full support team to help them successfully transition back into society. We are currently runnig a work site program at State Farm Insurance, where we bring the youth to the office every other week to be mentored by State Farm emloyees and community volunteers in a facilitated group setting.
This was an exciting and innovative new program designed to help one of the most difficult populations of "at-risk" youth - juvenile offenders. The challenge is great. It is far too easy for them to fall back into old patterns and then end up right back in the system.
"I believe if I did not become part of the mentoring
program I would be back in jail. This has been the best
thing in my life and I am very, very thankful."

"WOW!! It is hard to put into words the impact
that this has had upon me. Professionally, I take more ownership
in my day-to-day duties and I feel a sense of accomplishment
and satisfaction for a job well done. Personally, I hug
my son a little bit tighter each night and I see the importance
of being involved in his life. I value my husband even more
for his love, abilities, and trust in me. I appreciate the
hard work that my parents put into raising me. I am more
grateful for everything in my life."
