Youth Mentoring Connection Makes Mentoring Work
We are at the forefront of the mentoring movement with innovative ways to get more adults involved in mentoring programs. Our primary strategy is to bring the kids to a workplace, making it as easy as possible for busy employees to participate. We provide the expertise and guide the process every step of the way.

Our Worksite Programs currently include HBO, Los Angeles World Airports, Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel, Rhino Entertainment, Shout! Factory, and Warner Bros. Studios. In addition we have four community based Programs; A Place Called Home Winter and Fall, VIP, and AMP. We have also had worksite programs with Endeavor Talent Agency, SCA Consulting, State Farm Insurance, and USC Latino Business Student's Association.  Our goal is to bring in at least six new corporate partners over the next three years. We worked with three middle schools in the Long Beach Unified School District to bring "school site" mentoring to their students. In addition, we had an innovative new program in partnership with Orange County Probation Department to provide mentors, jobs, and life skills support to youth being released from their juvenile facilities. This was in an effort to significantly reduce recidivism.

We expect to have directly served over 3,000 kids by 2008, and impacting thousands more through technical assistance, training, and industry support programs such as our popular "2 Minute Mentor Tips" e-mail campaign.
